1、 Slow aging

Rubber and certain materials, under pressure, that is, under internal stress, will gradually naturally age and reduce elasticity. So the sealing ring has a certain service life and is closely related to the quality of the sealing material. The rectangular sealing ring has a relatively slow aging rate due to the small amount of pre compression after installation.


2、 Good stability

Due to the shape characteristics of the rectangular sealing ring, there will be no distortion after installation; Small deformation after pre compression; When the hydraulic pressure changes, the shaping is also relatively small. The cross-section stability of the sealing ring is good.


3、 Good sealing performance

When using an O-ring as the end face seal, there will be a "suction back effect" when there is a large pressure pulse. In one effect, it is generated by the pressure between the low-pressure side of the O-ring and the side of the groove in the groove. When a pressure shock occurs, the liquid is discharged with the movement of the O-ring seal. When the pressure drops, there will be a slight leakage like sweating. When using rectangular sealing rings, they do not produce sweating problems due to their own geometric shape characteristics.

4、 Strong extrusion resistance

When using O-ring seals, under frequent or long-term pressure shocks, over time, a small amount of sealing material will be cut and squeezed out from the low-pressure side gap. This phenomenon is known as "extrusion damage". Under the same working conditions, if a rectangular sealing ring is used, there will be no "extrusion damage".


5、 High sealing pressure

The working pressure of the O-ring seal is 32MPa, and the working pressure of the rectangular seal is 50MPa. When the O-ring is used for radial sealing and the pressure exceeds 10MPa, it is necessary to add a retaining ring on the low-pressure side to prevent extrusion damage. When using rectangular sealing rings, there is no need to set up retaining rings again.


6、 Interchangeability

In the original groove of the O-ring, rectangular sealing rings of corresponding specifications can be installed. So, it has good interchangeability in the O-ring seal.
